It's Almost Time For Worldcup 2010
The FIFA Worldcup 2010 has been anticipated as one of the most exciting Worldcups in recent history. Several upsets during the qualifying rounds have set the stage for enhanced rivalries and passionate play by the 32 teams that will be involved. Poor officiating has been blamed for some of the placement of the teams in the tournament, and there will be a heightened attention paid to the referees as well as the behavior of the teams on the field. Since national pride is at stake, each team is followed by a nearly rabid fan base that is intent on seeing their country's name etched into the trophy at the end of the tournament.
The FIFA Worldcup 2010 will be the 19th time this tournament has been held. Qualifying rounds for the Worldcup began as long ago as 2007, and were played by FIFA national teams. The Worldcup rivals the Olympics for national pride and elite athletic displays. The defending champion from the last FIFA Worldcup is Italy, and it is an easy bet that they will be anxious to repeat as champions. There are some powerful teams from outside of the usual leaders, including the United States, who could bring some extra excitement to the tournament this year.
The Worldcup 2010 is hosted in beautiful South Africa. Tickets to this popular event are difficult to come by, but you can still purchase them online. Be careful, though, as there are scams as well as legitimate ticket sales. It's a good idea to book your hotel very soon, as the best rooms will fill up quickly the closer we get to the date of the tournament. Cape Town, South Africa, won the honor of hosting the Worldcup 2010 after a long bidding process. The city is gearing up for the hordes of fans and media that will descend on it later this summer. Since South Africa is the host, the South Africa football team is automatically included in the tournament.
The winner of the Worldcup 2010 will walk away with more than just national pride. This year's FIFA prize money totals $420 million. Each team is given $1 million before the tournament begins so that they can prepare and travel. Once the tournament starts, the amount a team wins goes up with each stage they achieve. The second place team will take home $24 million, while the winners are awarded $30 million. That paycheck offers an extra incentive for a team to do well at this premiere football event. Ask any football fan, however, and they will tell you that the prize money is definitely not important to them. It's the national pride that is really at stake in this winner-take-all contest, and second place means very little. The FIFA Worldcup 2010 promises to offer drama and controversy based on the problems that were experienced leading up to the final cut. From bad calls to trash talk, there is a sense of tension leading into this Worldcup 2010 that transcends the normal excitement of the world tournament.

Present political turmoil over scam issues remind me of my school days report card. How was your manipulation?
President Obama's visit postponed the action on scam issues.
It is similar to an important Guest's visit to my house those days.
My Progress Report bearing failed marks in some vital subjects would be quietly signed by my father.
All anger (anger management?) would be postponed to a later date and on departure of the Guest.
Sometime we used to arrange some small timer drama artiste to act as parents to face the wrath of Teachers/Headmasters.
Forgery in progress report is very common.
Now Guest has gone and action on scam REPORT is in PROGRESS like those days action on PROGRESS REPORT.
Poor boys would repent for PLAYING hide and seek game and BUILDING a castle in air
without STUDYING the repercussion that they would have to face.
How come "2G" Raja is "Too Good" to escape from punishment?
INCREDIBLE !!!!
Thats a perfect match !!!
During school days my condition was also same, so I also link the present political turmoil to the turmoil on my progress report.
Coming to ur question, everyone knows that Mr. Raja is still safe because of the "Political Compulsions" of present Central Govt. They have tried to give an impression of clean govt by removing Mr Tharoor, Mr Chavan, Mr Kalmadi but despite of the public and media pressure they are still unable to remove the morally bankrupt man, Mr A Raja

The Great American Jobs Scam $24.95 For the past 20 years, corporations have been receiving huge tax breaks and subsidies in the name of "jobs, jobs, jobs." But, as Greg LeRoy demonstrates in this important new book, it's become a costly scam. Playing states and communities off against each other in a bidding war for jobs, corporations reduce their taxes to next-to-nothing and win subsidy packages that routinely exceed $100,000 per job. But the subsidies come with few strings attached. So companies feel free to provide fewer jobs, or none at all, or even outsource and lay people off. They are also free to pay poverty wages without health care or other benefits. All too often, communities lose twice. They lose jobs--or gain jobs so low-paying they do nothing to help the community--and lose revenue due to the huge corporate tax breaks. That means fewer resources for maintaining schools, public services, and infrastructure. In the end, the local governments that were hoping for economic revitalization are actually worse off. They're forced to raise taxes on struggling small businesses and working families, or reduce services, or both. Greg LeRoy uses up-to-the-minute examples, naming names--including Wal-Mart, Raytheon, Fidelity, Bank of America, Dell, and Boeing--to reveal how the process works. He shows how carefully corporations orchestrate the bidding wars between states and communities. He exposes shadowy "site location consultants" who play both sides against the middle, and he dissects government and corporate mumbo-jumbo with plain talk. The book concludes by offering common-sense reforms that will give taxpayers powerful new tools to deter future abuses and redirect taxpayer investments in ways that will really pay off. |

The Wind Farm Scam: An Ecologist's Evaluation $16.69 The spectre of global warming and the political panic surrounding it has triggered a goldrush for renewable energy sources without an open discussion of the merits and drawbacks of each. In The Wind Farm Scam Dr Etherington argues that in the case of wind power the latter far outweigh the former. Wind turbines cannot generate enough energy to reduce global CO2 levels to a meaningful degree; what's more wind power is by nature intermittent and cannot generate a steady output, necessitating back-up coal and gas power plants that significantly negate the saving of greenhouse gas emissions. In addition to the inefficacy of wind power there are ecological drawbacks, including damage to habitats, wildlife and the far-from-insignificant aesthetic drawback of the assault upon natural beauty and the pristine landscape, which wind turbines entail. Dr Etherington argues that wind power has been, and is being, excessively financed at the cost of consumers who have not been consulted, nor informed that this effective subsidy is being paid from their bills to support an industry that cannot be cost efficient or, ultimately, favour the cause it purports to support. |

I Gave Dating a Chance $2.99 In recent years, "dating" has become a dirty word in many Christian circles. So dirty, in fact, that young believers are now encouraged simply not to date. This movement has fueled and provoked debate among teens, their parents and youth workers, and single adults - a debate that remains unresolved for a great number of them. What about those Christians who want to maintain their integrity and remain within God's will while engaging in righteous dating? Is 'not dating' really the only acceptable option in God's eyes? The answer, assures author and youth pastor Jeramy Clark, is a resounding "no!" The time has come for a sound, biblical, and practical approach that balances out the extreme perspectives: dating without responsibility versus, a complete withdrawal from the dating process. In I Gave Dating a Chance, teens and single adults alike will learn how they can confidently pursue healthy dating relationships that are characterized by holiness and integrity - and ultimately bring glory and honor to God. |

The Development of the Drama $24.73 The interesting story of the slow evolution of the drama, from its rude beginnings far back in the forgotten past to the pictorial complexity of the present day, has not hitherto been told in a single volume. Most of the existing histories of dramatic literature are unduly distended with critical biographies of distinguished playwrights. No one of them, moreover, has taken into account the threefold influence exerted on the form of the drama of every epoch by the demands of the actors, by the size and shape and circumstances of the theaters of that time, and by the changing prejudices of the contemporary audiences. Each of these influences has been kept in mind constantly in the present attempt clearly to trace the development of the drama itself, down through the ages, without ever delaying to narrate the lives of the leading writers who found in this form of literary art their chief means of self-expression. Such criticism as there may be in the following pages is not so much philosophical or even esthetic as it is technical; it is concerned less with the poetry which illumines the masterpieces of the great dramatists than it is with the sheer craftsmanship of the most skillful playwrights. The desire of the author has been to bring out the essential unity of the history of the principles underlying the art of the stage. At the time of original publication in 1916, Brander Matthews was Professor of Dramatic Literature in Columbia University, and a Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. |

The Big Scam $8.32 Inside a nondescript cinder-block building in Manhattan, beyond the misleading sign that reads "Global Fish" and the attractive plainclothes FBI employee at the reception desk, Special Agent Nick Vanko is running a surprisingly successful undercover operation. His bosses consider him a hard case and the members of his squad a bunch of self-destructive freaks with disciplinary problems. But despite the regular investigations by internal affairs, the squad is capable of doing real Bureau work. They've been chipping away at the Brooklyn mob, where their prime target, the don's anointed capo, Mike Parisi, is in the middle of a bitter power struggle with underboss Danny DiMiglia. DiMiglia is ruthless and unimaginative, but Parisi is smarter, and when Manny, one of his crew, finds twenty grand and a page from a hand-drawn map in his father's abandoned safe deposit box, Parisi realizes he's got the means to bring DiMiglia down. But first they have to retrieve the other half of the map, and it's in an evidence room at the FBI. While the agents at Global Fish obstruct the FBIHQ inspector who's just arrived, a female agent is assigned to the squad. Sheila's got as many problems as the rest of them, but the most serious is her obsession with a serial murder investigation she's been unable to solve. Vanko is rattled by his attraction to her and diverts the squad to help her find the killer, just as Parisi uses the map in a whopper of a scam to keep DiMiglia in check. |

The Highs & Lows of Online Dating $11.94 This book was written in a tongue in cheek style, to bring a sense of openness and passion with a wild sense or humour. Most of the way through the book I was either laughing or crying but I was never expressionless. I dug deep in me to bring out a hidden truth without creating offence to others, and to help create openness, coupled with fun and passion. When I decided to write this book I wanted expressions and truth to blend, there is so much fear of the truth in the world that we live in. I use to be restricted in my thoughts and actions, mainly because I didn't want to offend anyone. In this book I have taken away the restrictions to allow natural thoughts to come through, as well as bring a blend of humour and tears. This book was written outside of the box so to exposed hidden thoughts and actions. It's funny and entertaining but also with a dash of truth. |

Drama Queen $13.15 When Jessica's parents split up, she is confused. Jessica can't understand how people can fall out of love any more than she can understand how her best friend can fall in love with a boy called Cedric who wears a luminous anorak, when Jessica herself will settle for nothing less than complete perfection. And what about her art teacher, Mrs. Mills? How can she be single when she's so pretty without her glasses? Jessica can see that her help is needed and just like a modern day Emma, sets about interfering with the love lives of those closest to her. This is a very funny, touching exploration of a teenager getting to grips with the complicated rules of attraction, and quietly dealing with much bigger themes of family, friendship, and responsibility. |

Drama High: Second Chance $8.99 Back for another dose of high drama, Compton’s sassiest, Jayd Jackson, is about to discover it really is a different world when she starts dating South Bay High's finest white boy…. All Jayd Jackson wants is a drama-free year at South Bay High, a.k.a. Drama High. But it doesn't seem she's going to get it. It's only the second week of Junior year and already, Misty, her nemesis, has almost gotten her killed after instigating a fight between Jayd and KJ's girlfriend, Trecee. But it goes with the territory. She's a fire child, and granddaughter to Lynne Mae Williams—Mama—and Mama says that means the drama will follow Jayd wherever she goes. Even so, Jayd just wants to chill, still hoping Junior year can carry on, drama-free. And with Misty and KJ reportedly "hanging," Jayd is ready to move on. But the brother won’t stop blowing up Jayd's cellie, and the text-messages keep coming; and the message is clear: KJ wants Jayd back bad. But Jayd couldn’t care less. She’s got a new man to kick-it with now—a half-Jewish white boy from Palos Verdes whose parents are loaded with a capital “L.” And Jeremy Weiner’s no ordinary white boy—he listens to East Coast rap, he’s got a sweet ride, and he’s got it bad for Jayd Jackson. But no one at South Bay High will just let a sistah be happy. Misty's back to her usual foolishness, KJ’s all over her jock, and the notoriously anti-black teacher Mrs. Bennett is tripping. Jeremy’s got her totally sprung, but she’s going to have to rely on her brains—and some of Mama’s magic, of course—if she’s going to survive another week at Drama High. But Jayd couldn’t care less. Truth in Dating: Finding Love by Getting Real $6.45 Millions of single people - whether never married or recently divorced - put a lot of energy into meeting and dating new people, but because they don't invest their true selves, their efforts often go nowhere. To counter this trend, Susan Campbell presents an approach to dating that many may consider radical: Be honest about yourself and ask for what you want, up front. Campbell shows people how to have fun by flirting truthfully; date without getting ahead of the relationship; enjoy the freedom of being themselves; relate with honesty to their dates; realistically examine what a romantic partner can - and can't - offer in the way of fulfillment and happiness; and move forward when the time is right, or say goodbye if it's not working. On the way to finding the love of their lives, readers gain the tools they need to successfully manage the entire process. |
